Future Slate Project Requests
As we continue enhancing our Slate system to better support campus needs, we’ve created this page to track upcoming project requests. Below, you’ll find a list of proposed enhancements and features that have been requested. This helps provide transparency on what’s being considered and allows campus users to see what’s in the pipeline.
Academic Advisement
Class Schedule in SlateStudent intention formAllow advisors to "tag" students as not returning or taking a semester off

CESL
- Build data feed from Slate to Banner for CESL application, eliminating the need for FileMaker Pro
- Build "course" registration processes for CESL student to be self contained in Slate. This would have payments tied to it so CESL could eliminate the use of Quickbooks
- Build data feed to D2L for course creation

- Application datafeed from LSAC/Unite to Slate. The Slate sends application details to Banner
- Automated messaging to School of Law students related to network id claim, congrats on admit, registration for classes now open, etc
Slate Team
- Implement Slate AI Identity Verification process
- Rebuild sections of the application for both Graduate School and Undergraduate Admissions that are still on the XSLT foundation. XSLT support is ending April 2026
- Ticketing system in Slate
User Home Screen RevisionsReduce overall amount of queries and homescreens through use of Pinned Filter queries
Student Success

Teacher Education Program
- Expand queries/reports to assist with yearly round up reporting to the state

Undergraduate Admissions
- Reworked Group visit registration/communication process. This project was never completed and remains in a 1/2 finished state even though it is in use.

- Set up availability so prospective students can schedule meetings with their assigned recruiter just as current students can with academic advisors
