Please join us for a special program celebrating the Institute's first 25 years at the SIU Student Center in Carbondale, Illinois!

Monday, October 30th, Institute Director John Shaw will moderate a conversation between Congressman Darin LaHood, who represents Illinois’s 16th District, and his father, Ray LaHood, former U.S. Secretary of Transportation. He also represented Illinois's 18th District.

They will discuss their careers in public service and the critical issues facing Illinois. They might even discuss some of the issues in which they don’t completely agree.
