    Take part in SIU's long-standing tradition of welcoming students to the Saluki Family!  All new students are invited to "sprint" on Saturday, September 12th at 5:30 pm. Meet south of Saluki Stadium.

    Waiver and Release of All Claims and Permission to Secure Treatment

    Waiver of Liability of All Claims
    As a participant in Saluki Startup and Weeks of Welcome (including but not limited to the Saluki Kickoff Pep Rally, Light up the Lake, and the Saluki Sprint), I agree to assume the full risk of any injuries, including death, damages or loss regardless of severity, which I may sustain as a result of my participation in this event. 
    I agree to waive and relinquish any and all claims against Southern Illinois University, and its directors, officers, trustees, agents, servants, members, and employees that I may have as a result of participating in the Saluki Startup and Weeks of Welcome events.
    I further agree to indemnify and hold harmless and defend Southern Illinois University, and Preferred Entertainment and its respective directors, officers, trustees, agents, servants, members, and employees from any and all claims from injuries, including death, damages and losses sustained by me or arising out of, connected with, or in any way associated with the activities of the Saluki Startup and Weeks of Welcome events. 
    Permission to Secure Treatment
    In the event of an emergency, I authorize Southern Illinois University, officials to secure treatment from any licensed hospital, physician, and/or medical personnel deemed necessary for my immediate care and I agree that I will be responsible for payment of any medical services required.
