    Leading Chicago Business Executive to Reflect on His Career as a Path-Breaking Entrepreneur

    John W. Rogers, Jr., a nationally respected entrepreneur based in Chicago, will join the Institute on Thursday, April 11 at 5:00 p.m. CT.

    He will participate in an evening conversation with Institute Director John Shaw about the lessons he has learned during his path-breaking career in business and public service.

    Rogers is the founder and co-CEO of Ariel Investments, which is the first Black-owned asset management firm in the United States. Ariel manages nearly $15 billion in assets. Rogers is from Hyde Park, graduated from Princeton University, and founded Ariel Investments in 1983, just three years after graduating from college.

    There will be a reception held before the speaking event from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the SIU Law School's Formal Lounge.
