Samuel Freedman to Visit SIU

Samuel Freedman, author and professor at Columbia Journalism School, will join the Institute for an evening discussion with Institute Director John Shaw.

He will reflect on the 60th anniversary of the 1964 Civil Rights Act and discuss several of his books and his career in journalism and writing.

A reception will be held at the SIU Morris Library Rotunda from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. before the speaking event.
