Understanding Our New World with Philip Shenon

The Paul Simon Public Policy Institute will host a virtual conversation Wednesday, May 28 at 10 am CT with Philip Shenon, author of the widely acclaimed, “Jesus Wept: Seven Popes and the Battle for the Catholic Church.”
Shenon will discuss his book, the challenges facing the Catholic Church, and the new papacy of, Pope Leo XIV, with institute director, John Shaw.
Shenon spent much of his career as an investigative reporter for the
New York Times,
covering the Pentagon, Justice Department, FBI ,and the State Department.
He is the author of two previous books: “The Commission: The Uncensored History of the 9/11 Commission” (2008) and “A Cruel and Shocking Act: The Secret History of the Kennedy Assassination "(2013).
