Dr. Robert Pape, a nationally recognized expert on political violence and international security, will visit SIU on Friday, April 3 to deliver the spring Morton-Kenney Lecture. Dr. Pape is a political scientist and professor at the University of Chicago, where he directs research on global security and democratic resilience. His work examines the causes of terrorism, the dynamics of coercive diplomacy, and the strength of democratic institutions in the United States and abroad.
He is the author of several influential books and numerous scholarly articles, and his research has shaped national and international conversations about foreign policy, national security, and the health of American democracy. This event will be held in the Lesar Law Building Auditorium within the Simmons Law School on SIU's campus.
