Will Davis

The Paul Simon Public Policy Institute will host an open house featuring a special appearance by Southern Illinois University Carbondale alumnus and Illinois State Representative William “Will” Davis on Friday, Nov. 6. The event will bring together Institute staff, friends and supporters for an opportunity to connect, learn more about the Institute’s work and engage in discussion about current issues facing Illinois.

The event will be held from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the Forestry Building on Southern Illinois University’s campus, located at 1231 Lincoln Drive. During the event, Davis, who graduated from SIU in 1989 and represents the 30th District in the Illinois House of Representatives, will reflect on the results of the Nov. 3 election, discuss his goals for the upcoming legislative year and take questions from the audience.

The open house will provide attendees with an opportunity to hear directly from a state lawmaker, exchange perspectives on the issues shaping Illinois and connect with others interested in public policy and civic engagement. It will also offer an opportunity to learn more about the Paul Simon Public Policy Institute and its work to promote ethical conduct in government, responsible citizenship and greater public understanding of policy issues.

The event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served. Registration is appreciated but not required.
